The old year draws to its close and we can hardly believe how quickly it went by! Perhaps while looking back on this year, many may have wondered whether the good they did made any difference at all, in view of all the news reports that tell us this world is a very dark place, overflowing with misdeeds and bleak, dismal conditions, whether in relation to people, nature or the animals.

And yet, greater minds than ours have reminded us throughout the centuries of the strength that we carry within us and that is just waiting to unfold. It was Leo Tolstoy who wrote: “Endeavor to come as far as possible. Do not brood about what is possible and what not – do what you can accomplish with your efforts – that is what it all depends on.”

And when people of like mind come together to do what they can, how great the result! Many of you have been active, not only in your own chosen fields of endeavor, but in supporting our efforts for many Causes.
